The Executive Board consists of 13 members, meeting once a month from September through June. If you're interested in participating on the board, contact the nominating committee either by mail, by telephone, or email: nominatingchair@awcmontreal.com

 

President
Presides at all meetings, is an ex officio member of committees, assists board members and provides all other duties to ensure efficient management of club.

First Vice President
In the absence of the President, assume duties, may act as representative to The Montreal Council of Women, organizes interest group's chairs.

Second Vice President
Performs duties of the President in the absence of President and Vice President, and Chair's The Social Service Committee.

Corresponding Secretary
Handles all official correspondence of the club and President.

Recording Secretary
Takes, reads and transcribes the minutes of all sessions of the clubs monthly board, spring and annual business meetings.

Treasurer
Handles all club finances, collects membership dues, luncheon payments and pays club expenses. Prepares all financial statements that are audited yearly.

Assistant Treasurer Committee
Treasurer Assists the treasurer, collects payments for events, luncheons and membership renewals, and partakes on the finance committee.

Programs
Organizes programs and speakers for luncheons, refers to recently compiled list of programs of the past 20 years, to bring back popular speakers.

Hospitality
Organizes and negotiates venues for monthly luncheons, plans the menu with the restaurant and prepares the table centerpieces and decor.

Telephone
Assures ongoing communication with American Women's Club members regarding luncheons, fundraisers and other club events.

Membership
Provides club information to prospective members, welcomes and assists new members, plans New Members Tea in the Fall and Spring

Press and Printing Committee
Organizes, maintains, provides, and distributes informational materials such as Newsletter, Calendar Yearbook and membership database.

Courtesy and Reception
Receives members and guest at all club functions, and sends courtesy cards on behalf of the club for personal events of our members

Webmaster
Maintains website, technical function, updates, creates and edits new content, and coordinates uniformity of content information with Press & Printing.
